A Vacation Space for the Words Inside my Little Artist Head

Welcome to Rambings! As you have probably gathered by the title, this blog is going to be a place for the thoughts and feelings that run around my mind, like rats in the ceiling, to settle down for a while. But don’t stress, this is NOT a diary; it will be (almost) exclusively art-related and you will not be exposed to any overly personal life details.

So, what is this? 

As an artist, and a creative person in general, I constantly feel unsure of where I’m heading career-wise. In a world with paths set in stone for the majority of careers, I feel like I’m wandering through the jungle with a machete, trying to find (or create) my own path..and I have a terrible sense of direction. I hope that through my ramblings, I can offer a sliver of inspiration and insight to others in relation to life as an artist, while I try to figure out what on earth I’m supposed to be doing. I also just love to write, and thought a blog would be a good excuse to do so.

I’ll be discussing everything from artist struggles and wins, to works in progress and things that inspire me, all with the correct amount of slightly-funny personal anecdotes and opinions. For my less-literate followers, I will also use some snippets of these ramblings as voice overs for my Tik Toks and Instagram Reels. May your brain rot enhance my online engagement.

Basically, I’m Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, except instead of sex, it’s art, and instead of strutting around NYC in designer heels, I’m wandering around Newy in my brother’s old footy shorts that now have paint stains all over them. And I’m probably lost.
